A message to our supporters

This is a really important time of year for fundraising for Barretstown, and once again we wish to thank those who have already responded to our Christmas appeal.  We would ask others to do so, as your donation will help children and their families who have been having a very difficult time to experience the joy and magic of Barretstown.

HSE funding represents less than 4% of our income and we are therefore almost entirely reliant on your generosity to allow us continue to enrich the lives of over 2000 children who come to stay at Barretstown each year. You can donate here or by posting a donation to Barretstown, Barretstown Castle, Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare.

We want to assure donors that their generously given funds are used prudently and efficiently for the benefit of the children who come here. We have the highest standards of financial management and transparency. Our accounts are audited by PWC and are available to anybody who would like a copy.  We adhere to the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) accounting guidelines for charities.  This is the UK best-practice standard – there is currently no Irish equivalent so we have implemented the standard set by the UK Charity Commission. We are also signed up to the Statement of Guiding Principles in Fundraising.
