In light of the ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19 and in line with Government guidelines, Barretstown has made the very difficult decision to postpone all Spring camps and programmes.
Although this is very disappointing, the safety of our campers, volunteers and staff has to remain our priority. We will keep this situation under review.
However, during these difficult and worrying times, we’re determined to keep the Barretstown magic alive. That’s why we have been very busy developing and launching our new BARRETSTOWN LIVE PROGRAMME. This innovative online interactive camp experience will allow us to continue serving children living with a serious illness, like the families who were due to come to camp, exactly when they need us most. Families will receive their specially designed kit in advance and will engage with our dedicated team staying on site in Barretstown. This interactive platform will also provide families with ways to engage with each other during what is a very difficult time.
We will also be sharing some Barretstown magic with families across Ireland through weekly broadcasts on Facebook Live.
Barretstown is following infection control guidelines and advice from the HSE, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, CHI@Crumlin and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
