Every cent goes directly to supporting our therapeutic camps and programmes, helping children like Aoife Lawless, a bright and energetic little girl, was diagnosed shortly after birth with neurofibromatosis (NF1), a rare condition that, in her case, caused a tumour to develop on her optic nerve.

Meet Aoife Lawless
Just before her fifth birthday, Aoife Lawless was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis (NF1), a rare condition which can cause tumours on any nerve ending in the body; in Aoife’s case, a tumour developed on her optic nerve.
Around Christmas, her family received heartbreaking news: Aoife would need 84 weeks of chemotherapy to try to slow the tumour’s growth. Through exhaustion, hair loss, and losing much of her eyesight, Aoife’s spirit never wavered. Her family stood by her every step of the way, finding strength in their love and hope.
