Calling all Cyclists!

Calling all cyclists! Support Barretstown by taking part in our Cycle Challenge 2023 from Cork City to Barretstown Castle in Kildare where you’ll not only be challenging yourself, but you’ll also get to take in the beautiful scenery along the way.
We welcome cyclists of all levels for this 3 day event, with options to opt for 2-day or 1-day cycles also. Taking place Friday 23rd June- Sunday 25th June 2023

Summary of Route

We will begin our cycle in Cork city, passing by the Mardyke, heading for Blarney. Going through Mallow and Charleville making our way to Limerick taking in Lough Gurr along the way. Passing the haunting Quin Abbey, we then make our way through Co. Clare. We will cycle across the Burren, passing Lough Bunny, arriving in the lovely coastal town of Kinvara. Extra route for advanced cyclists. From Galway City we will then take on the final stretch of the cycle to the wonderful Barretstown Castle in Ballymore Eustace. You will be cycling 421km (excluding optional climbs and routes) over 3 days, whilst raising vital funds for Barretstown. There is also an option to join us on day 2 in Limerick or day 3 for the epic Galway to Barretstown leg.

- Join our Strava team and start training for the challenge

- Start gathering your sponsorship

- Join our informational zoom sessions on training / tech advice and also fundraising help!

- Join us on 23rd June 2023 for this amazing cycle challenge and help raise vital funds for Barretstown
