Enchanted Forest FAQs
Who plants and maintains the trees?
Trees planted in The Enchanted Forest will be planted in conjunction with the Tree Council of Ireland. Trees will be maintained and managed by the Barretstown team. All reasonable care will be taken to ensure the best care of the trees, but Barretstown cannot be held responsible for damage to trees outside its control. Should something happen to a tree that has been allocated to a person, it will be replaced with a comparable alternative.
Can I visit my tree?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit The Enchanted Forest for the moment.
Are the trees uniquely identifiable?
Each tree will be allocated a personal number linked to the certificate granted to recipients. Each tree will only be allocated a single number. The trees will be identifiable by a central map indicating numbers but no plaques or other personalisation of the trees will be possible, to avoid damage to the tree.
Receipt of a tree certificate does not imply ownership of the tree itself, the tree cannot be moved or personalised in any way.
Can I plant the tree myself?
Unfortunately, no. The trees are planted by the Barretstown team, as they can only be planted at certain times of the year.
