Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with us on Saturday 22nd November and Sunday 23rd November at Barretstown Castle.
Enjoy Christmas fun for the whole family, including visits to Santa’s Grotto, live performances, a festive Christmas market, and much more. 🎅🎄
Children can visit Santa in his grotto (booking required), play games with the Elves, listen to Christmas stories, and hand-deliver their all-important letters.
Visitors can explore the market stalls, sample delicious festive food, and enjoy mince pies and mulled wine in Barretstown’s beautiful dining hall while listening to your favourite Christmas songs.

Santa’s Grotto and Attractions
Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their Elves are excited to welcome you to the Winter Wonderland Grotto for a magical visit, where children can hand-deliver their letters directly to Santa.
While you wait, Santa’s Elves will keep everyone entertained with fun activities, and each family will have the chance to meet Santa and take a special photo with him. Don’t forget to bring your letter—or you can write one on the day!
The attractions include:
- Santa’s Grotto Experience (booking essential, charges apply) with three available time slots: 10:30am, 12:45pm, and 3:00pm. Each ticket includes a delicious hot chocolate and treat for every attendee! Children will also receive a special present and a festive selection box.
- Christmas festive songs performed in the Dining Hall.
- Christmas market stalls offering a variety of gifts and festive foods.
- Face painting, a kids’ disco, and much more!

Tickets Price
Admission to Barretstown’s Winter Wonderland is free, and everyone is welcome to join the festive fun!
While there’s no charge to enter, we gratefully welcome donations — every contribution helps support Barretstown’s life-changing programmes.
If you’d like to visit Santa, there is a fee, and booking is essential as spaces are limited:
- Family Pass (2 adults & 2 children): €65.00
- Individual Adult Pass: €15.00
- Individual Child Pass: €20.00
- Infant (Up to 12 months): €10.00
Santa's Session Times
Santa will be welcoming families at three times throughout the day. When booking through Eventbrite, you can choose from 10:30am, 12:45pm, or 3:00pm.
Please note: If you’re visiting Santa, please arrive at Barretstown 30 minutes before your allocated time for check-in and registration.
