The Barretstown Big Picnic 30th Birthday Party

This year Barretstown is celebrating 30 years providing essential therapeutic camps and programmes.

Join us for an unforgettable Big Picnic filled with fun activities including Fossett’s circus*, canoeing, archery, fishing, face painting, food stalls and much more. The event will take place on Sunday 7th July, with the gates of Barretstown Campus open to the public.

We'll be running all our usual activities throughout this big birthday celebration day, and we've got a bunch of special guests helping us to make this birthday party one to remember.

The Barretstown Big Picnic 30th Birthday Party takes place Sunday 7th July, gates open from 11.00am - 4.30pm.

Join us for a very special day

The Barretstown Big Picnic 30th Birthday Party gives families and supporters the rare opportunity to experience the Barretstown Magic for themselves and see what the camp has to offer. It also gives parents, and friends the chance to reconnect with their own childhood through the fun activities.

Fossett’s Circus will perform three live shows for attendees, book the Family Circus Ticket (with full access to our campus) for only €50.00 (2 adults & 2 children).

Or, enjoy a day of many activities with general access to the Big Picnic with a suggested donation €20.00 at the gate.

The Barretstown Big Picnic 30th Birthday Party is set to be an action-packed day of serious fun activities.

Is the The Barretstown Big Picnic free to attend?

We’re so excited to announce that this year, we have two ticket options available for The Barretstown Big Picnic 30th Birthday Party!

General Access to The Barretstown Big Picnic 30th Birthday Party campus suggested donation €20.00 per car at the gate, and it includes all activities and parking (except the circus and food). Tickets must be purchased in advance, so don’t miss out! Click here to buy your ticket for this option.

We’ve got a special deal for you! Get the Fossett’s Circus + Entry Ticket: the Family Circus Ticket (2 adults & 2 children) for only €50.00 and enjoy full access to our campus, including all activities and a circus performance. The circus performance takes place at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm, so make sure you book your ticket in advance. You can buy your ticket here.

Please note that the tickets must be booked in advance and do not include food. We’re so happy to offer free parking!

Are pets allowed?

With the exception of service animals, no pets/animals are allowed onsite

Will food & drink be available?

Food& drink will be available for purchase at the Barretstown Dining Hall, as well as from a number of vendors in the courtyard.

How do I get to Barretstown?

Barretstown is located in Co. Kildare, near to Ballymore Eustace. Our Eircode is W91RDX6. Entry to Barretstown will be through the main entrance (A large green iron gate, with a wooded avenue behind it). Click here for Google Maps to the entrance gate.
