Domino’s Pizza #SliceOfLife

How we work together

Since choosing to work with Barretstown in 2005 Domino’s Pizza have been working directly with our campers by setting up a pizza making workshop, allowing each child to get creative and express their individuality by making a unique pizza.

To mark our 10th anniversary in 2015 we developed an exciting and interactive online cause related marketing campaign in partnership with Domino’s Pizza Ireland.

The #SliceOfLife campaign encouraged Domino’s customers to post pictures of themselves eating pizza on social media. Every time someone posted a photo of themselves eating pizza in a strange or unusual place, Domino’s donated €5 to Barretstown.

Kevin Blessing, Domino’s Pizza franchisee, explains how giving up his and his employees’ time to come to Barretstown really pays off:

Visiting the camps and working with the children was a real privilege. The children thoroughly enjoyed making – and of course tasting – their own pizzas and everyone involved had a lot of fun.”

Domino’s support and dedication to Barretstown has raised a very impressive €200,000 to date.

The experience also made me even more aware of how vital the work at Barretstown is for these children and their families and spurred myself and my fellow Domino’s franchisees to continue supporting Barretstown. We hope our small contribution will help to make a difference”
