In 2021, Kildare GAA once again took on a phenomenal Mizen to Malin fundraising challenge for Barretstown!
The Kildare Minor and Under 20 Hurling Training Squads on Saturday 27th March embarked on a 12 hour virtual run from Mizen to Malin and back to the home of Kildare GAA in St Conleth’s Park Newbridge. The monies raised from this 840km virtual run were shared between Barretstown and the training budget for both squads. The event involved the current training squads of just over 100 players and management each running an 8km leg at 10 minute intervals from 8am to 8pm. An amazing bit of organisation but they teamed together and got the job done! Bravo all involved and all who donated! The total raised was over €24,000!! Bravo Kildare GAA!
