Lots of Serious Fun events on in 2024!

There are so many events that you can take part in for Barretstown – check it out!

Barretstown organises a number of events each year such as the Dublin Mountains Challenge, Golf Outing and Corporate Quiz, to help us meet our fundraising goals and ensure we can serve all our campers to the best of our ability.

You can also join Team Barretstown and take part in events like the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon and Dublin Marathon. Alternatively you can take part in events that are organised for Barretstown but not by us, such as the Ian Daly Swim A Mile With A Smile. Many of these events are going ahead in 2024, so you can still get involved!

At Barretstown, we need your help to raise over €9 million each year. One of the founding principles of Barretstown is that campers and their families come here because of a need, rather than an ability to pay. Everything, including accommodation, food and medical assistance, are provided at no cost to the family.

We do not receive on-going funding from the Serious Fun Network – so we rely almost entirely on donations and the fundraising efforts of individuals, community groups and corporate supporters. That’s why events and fundraising are so important for the families we serve.

Get involved – it will be Serious Fun!
