Footprints for Leah

Over the past two years Tom Kelly has undertaken two sponsored walks, from his home in Tallaght to Killarney and from Malin Head to Mizen Head. He took on the challenges in memory of his daughter Leah who passed away in 2013 having battled with Ependymoma, a rare form of cancer.

Barretstown Dublin Mountains Challenge 2014

Dublin Mountains Challenge 24th May 2015

Over 500 walkers took to the mountains for the Dublin Mountains Challenge on the 24th May. Taking on both the 24km and 42km distances, everyone had a great day and made it their finishing points to great cheer, hot stew and yummy burgers!

State Street Foundation

The State Street Foundation has provided annual financial support to Barretstown since 2010. To date they have generously funded various aspects of camp including grant aid for our archery, mini golf and camp costs.

‘PayPal Gives’ choose 5 charities each year for PayPal Gives funding. This year, Barretstown was chosen to receive a grant of $6,000 to go towards the repair of our 12th Century castle which is at the heart of the camp experience for children and families with serious illnesses.

Fundraiser - Matthew Fleming 5km - 2015

5km in Memory of Baby Matthew Fleming

For the past two years the Flemings have organised a 5km Run & Family Walk in memory of Matthew. The event, in aid of Barretstown, has become an annual fixture and has to date raised almost €10,000. The Flemings say that the event encompasses everything that is important to them as a family – fun and remembrance.

Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon
